Fractionated Coconut Oil

How Does It Work?

Coconut palms are native to tropical eastern regions, but now grow all over Asia, in Central and South America, and in Africa.

The trunk of the coconut palm can grow between 65 and nearly 100 feet (20-30 m) high, and the leaves can be 13 to 19 feet (4-6 m) long. A coconut palm can live up to 100 years.

Coconuts—the fruit of the tree—are as large as a person’s head and weight about 2 to 4 pounds (1-2 kg). The coconut contains water. In fact, the immature green coconut can contain up to a quart of water inside. Coconut milk is the coconut water and coconut meat blended together.

Our coconut oil is called fractionated coconut oil because it goes through a process called fractionation. Fractionation removes the components that make the coconut oil solid at room temperature and separates the different types of fat naturally found in the oil.
